Visit for more details.Senior Electrical Project EngineerReporting to the VP Engineering, the Senior Electrical Project Engineer will assist in the development of conceptual designs of electrical systems of distributed energy systems as well as oversee the detailed final design of the systems. This includes outlining the most cost-effective technical solution addressing the client specific needs utilizing various distributed energy resource technologies including combined heat & power (CHP), fuel cells, linear generators, energy storage, solar & geothermal solutions for our customers. The role can be remote or hybrid, located out of our Chicago or NYC offices with travel to project sites across the country.ResponsibilitiesLead conceptual electrical design of DER systemsPrepare electrical system layouts including single- and three-line diagramsLead development of work scopes, equipment sizing and definition of equipment specificationsManage subcontractor submittal reviews (engineering drawings, shop drawings)Develop/Apply software for CAD and related analyticsOutline site walkdowns and objectives for technical and project feasibility assessmentPrepare project cost estimates and schedules for applicable work scopesSupport identification, evaluation and qualification of new DER technologies and new engineering, supplier or construction partnersSupport commissioning activities for DER system deploymentAssist to ensure quality assurance of electrical design and construction activitiesCollaborate with clients, contractors and suppliers to develop solutions and resolve issuesEnsure all relevant standards and codes are adhered in design, manufacturing and construction of electrical equipment and systemsDeliver reports, presentations and coordinate meetings with clients and managementRequirementsMin 8-10 years in relevant energy system design and constructionBachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineer’s licenseKnowledgeable of electrical system fundamentals of distributed energy systemsStrong problem-solving and communications skillsExpectationsProactive problem-solving approachComfortable in client-facing situationsAbility to work in small teams within a faced-paced environmentAbility to work independently and in a team environmentProficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project and AutoCADLocationRemote, or hybrid located out of our NYC or Chicago officeNotification to RecruitersEndurant Energy understands the value of professional recruiting services.
