OverviewNEW PROJECT-NEW AWARDConstruction Project Engineer/Assistant Project ManagerLocation: Joint Base Lewis McChord, WACLP Engineering (CLPE) is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers.CLPE is seeking a Construction Project Engineer/Assistant PM to join our team of Professionals on USACE project work located at JBLM. Due to the nature of our work with the federal government, candidates must be a US Citizen.This role will provide support with coordinating construction projects from initial planning to scheduling, resource allocation and project accounting, through project close out; Works as a Coordinator and Liaison to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.City Light & Power/CLP Engineering has been recognized by The Denver Post as one of the top workplaces for 2025!Duties and ResponsibilitiesCultivate and maintain effective relations with the Client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnelSupport the Project Manager with developing the budget, schedule, and construction service plans for various elements of the projectWork closely with PM and Superintendent to identify and allocate resources, including personnel and materialsMonitor subcontractor and supplier performance with respect to timeliness, efficiency, and qualityParticipate in and monitor the procurement process, cost control, and change management systemsUphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standardsParticipate in pre-construction meetings, schedule meetings, design reviews, and project kickoff meetings to provide input on quality control requirements and expectationsSubmittal creation and trackingDevelop, schedule, and implement procedures for tracking control phase meetings required for the three-phase control systemReview project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycleUphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standardsOther duties as assignedReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field required. Previous related work experience may substituteFive (5) years' experience as an Assistant Project Manager or QC Construction Manager requireTwo-four (2-4) years of experience with building construction, materials, systems, field work or similar requiredOSHA 30 CertificateEM 385-1-1 Training requiredPrevious experience with USACE or federal government construction projects requiredCurrent USACE CQM training and certification or ability to get one requiredDetail oriented with strong documentation and reporting skillsOrganized, problem-solver with ability to multitaskProficiency with MS Office, and other Microsoft Office productsMust have excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skillsWork Authorization/Security ClearanceYou must be a US citizen.You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security ClearanceValid driver's license required with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy.Benefits & CompensationWe offer an excellent benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401k with company contribution, paid time off and paid holidays.Salary range: $75,000-$95,000/annual based on experience plus eligible for participation in Short Term Incentive PlanWe reserve the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range based on factors unrelated to sex.To learn more, visit our website: are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/Disabled/Veterans.
