OverviewJob Title: Automation Data Engineer - Central TechnologyRequisition ID: R026011Activision Central Technology is seeking a passionate Automation Data Engineer to help us take our cutting-edge games to the next level. Automated tests are an essential technique we use to detect and report defects in our products, enabling developers to collaborate and iterate on gameplay while increasing overall coverage and unburdening QA.We run a multitude of online services that need highly scalable infrastructure, and we need help with building new features and productionizing our internal products. If you are passionate about writing tests and tools, instrumenting telemetry, and analyzing data, this opportunity will allow you to impact a game played by millions of fans globally.As an Automation Data Engineer, you will work closely with Quality Assurance and Engineering leadership to realize our vision for automated tests. You/'ll write and maintain tools, develop stress tests, collect and visualize data, analyze and report results, and use effective communication to influence developers across the organization.What You Bring to the TableThe video game industry is fast-paced and evolving. Duties and responsibilities may change to support the business. This role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:Collaborate with automation and data engineers to enhance, evaluate, and scale automated testing features.Improve tools and workflows for efficient test development, data analysis, and debugging.Support Activision studios globally in designing automation strategies and developing automated tests to identify defects.Analyze results, increase automated coverage, and maintain infrastructure for performance, stability, and data integrity.Create tools to boost QA productivity, research new techniques, and work with QA leadership to plan and evolve processes.Minimum RequirementsExperienceA minimum of 3 years/' relevant work experienceExperience developing test frameworksProficiency in data engineering and analyticsExperience working in a collaborative team environmentKnowledge & SkillsBachelor/'s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experienceAdvanced understanding of Python, C/C++, and SQLKnowledge of online services, DevOps, and cloud infrastructureDeep grasp of computer architecture, networks, and operating systemsKey AttributesStrong passion for automation and software testingSelf-motivated, strong sense of independenceExtra PointsExperienceExperience developing console gamesExperience working in a collaborative team environmentExperience in a management or leadership positionKnowledge & SkillsFamiliarity with QA methodologiesKnowledge of Git, Puppet, Grafana, Perforce, Linux, FlaskKey AttributesPassion for video games, especially FPS gamesYour PlatformActivision Central Tech supports development studios and their titles. For details, visit the U.S., the standard base pay range is $77,500.00 – $143,376.00 annually. Final offer is based on experience, performance, and location. The role may include incentive compensation which is not guaranteed.
