OverviewA licensed engineering firm specializing in the design of water features is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Project Manager with a strong background in MEP systems and hydraulic design. This role is ideal for a mechanical engineer who thrives in a collaborative design environment and is ready to lead projects from concept through construction. Training will be provided in water feature-specific systems; candidates should bring solid mechanical engineering fundamentals, project leadership experience, and familiarity with the AIA design process. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing firm where technical expertise and leadership will have a direct and lasting impact.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical engineering projects from design through construction administration.Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure technical alignment and design integrity.Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet deadlines and quality standards.Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with codes and internal standards.Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.Represent the engineering team in client meetings and presentations.Mechanical Design & Technical WorkDevelop mechanical system layouts and detailed drawing sets.Perform hydraulic calculations (e.g., head loss, gravity flow, weir flow).Conduct electrical load calculations related to mechanical systems (e.g., pump sizing, wire sizing).Select and specify mechanical equipment such as pumps, filters, piping, and control systems.Create design diagrams, equipment layouts, and dimensional drawings using CAD software.Utilize Revit (preferred), AutoCAD, or Civil 3D for documentation; SolidWorks experience is a plus.Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction.Conduct site visits to verify installation quality and design compliance.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (accredited program preferred).Strong background in MEP systems and hydraulic design.Proven experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.Familiarity with the AIA design process and multidisciplinary coordination.Licensed PE or EIT actively pursuing licensure (PE preferred).Proficiency in Revit (priority), AutoCAD, and Civil 3D; SolidWorks is a bonus.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and technical calculations.Motivated to contribute to a growing firm and take ownership of impactful work.Willingness to work on-site in the Carrollton office, Monday–Friday.Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision plan options; 401(k) matching; Paid Time Off (13 days in year 1; 15 days years 2–5; 20 days year 6+). #J-18808-Ljbffr
