As a Security Engineer IV within our Verizon Cyber Security Organization, you will work with our Unix PAM engineering team to support our PowerBroker infrastructure, processes, and users. This role will emphasize PowerBroker User & Operational support while maintaining security policies and meeting SOX/PCI/GDPR compliance requirements. The selected candidate will coordinate the team’s operational support activities amongst peers.Primary responsibilities:Advising security and application teams on best ways to leverage PowerBroker securely and efficiently in our environments.Supporting on-prem PowerBroker and related infrastructures.Providing timely and effective support for users and systems.Coordinating operational support activities with peers.Performing health checks and troubleshooting application issues.Creating RPM packages for PowerBroker client distribution.Migrating and decommissioning legacy implementations.Participating in the PowerBroker on-call rotation for after-hours support.Other duties as assigned.What we’re looking for…You’ll need to have:Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.Four or more years of relevant work experience.One or more years of experience with Linux operating systems.Even better if you have:CCNP Security or other related certifications.CISSP, CISM or related certification.Excellent Linux and Unix administration skills.Experience with BeyondTrust PowerBroker.Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Service Now or similar workflow management tools.Experience with Splunk or similar SIEM tools.Working knowledge of IP Networking including routing, firewalls, ports, and protocols.Experience working in an environment regulated by SOX, PCI DSS, or other similar controls.Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and directory technologies.Working knowledge of access management functions including RBAC and permission management.Excellent debugging skills working within complex systems.Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize, and organize to meet deadlines.Experience developing and analyzing metrics and reports.A thorough and detail-oriented work approach.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Where you’ll be workingIn this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager.
