Overview The University of Minnesota Medical School invites nominations and applications for a visionary leader to serve as Director of the Eli Coleman Institute for Sexual and Gender Health (ISGH). This is a tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. The Director will lead one of the world’s premier academic institutes dedicated to advancing sexual and gender health through research, clinical innovation, education, and public policy, and will also hold the Endowed Academic Chair in Sexual Health. The Director will set a bold, inclusive vision for ISGH and oversee its clinical services, research portfolio, educational programming, and policy engagement. Responsibilities Set and execute a strategic vision for ISGH and oversee its clinical services, research portfolio, education programs, and policy engagement. Champion equity, justice, and scientific rigor while guiding a multidisciplinary team to transform health outcomes for populations locally and beyond. Foster cross-disciplinary and cross-sector collaborations to advance sexual and gender health research, education, and policy impact. Qualifications Required: PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree. Evidence of leadership in the field of gender and/or sexuality. Demonstrated potential for obtaining federal or other peer-reviewed funding. Established scholarly activity including publications and presentations. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an academic healthcare setting. Pay and Benefits Compensation for this role is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The base salary for an associate professor is $137,155 and the base salary for a full professor is $179,281. There is a $30,000 leadership augmentation on top of base salary for this role, with annual bonuses up to $23,000.
