Join us to be part of a high-growth, purpose-driven company that champions corporate social responsibility.Title: Director, Data GovernanceLocation: Stamford, CTJob Type: Full-Time, ExemptAbout the RoleThe Director of Data Governance is responsible for establishing and leading the organization’s enterprise data governance strategy, ensuring data integrity, quality, compliance, and ethical use of data across the business. This role sits at the intersection of Compliance and Technology, providing oversight to ensure that data practices align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and business objectives. The Director will partner closely with Compliance, IT, and business units to enforce governance frameworks, data quality standards, and stewardship responsibilities.What You’ll DoDevelop and implement the enterprise Data Governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.Ensure alignment of governance practices with compliance obligations (e.g., privacy, financial reporting, regulatory frameworks).Establish enterprise-wide data quality metrics and reporting processes to monitor and improve data integrity.Partner with IT to embed governance requirements into data architecture, MDM, CDP, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms.Drive organization-wide awareness of data as an enterprise asset through training and communications.Define roles and responsibilities for data owners, stewards, and custodians across business units.What You’ll Bring10+ years of experience in data management, governance, compliance, or risk, with at least 5 years in leadership.Strong understanding of regulatory environments affecting data (privacy, financial reporting, industry standards).Demonstrated experience building or scaling an enterprise data governance program.Knowledge of data management technologies (MDM, data catalogs, data lineage, metadata, data quality tools).Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance compliance rigor and business enablement.Strong communication and leadership skills; able to influence at the executive and board fluence technology roadmaps to support metadata management, lineage tracking, and secure data sharing.Connecticut Hiring Range$145,000—$160,000 USDWhat We OfferCareer Growth OpportunitiesCompetitive Pay and Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision)Generous PTO and Parental Leave401(K) Retirement PlanLife/AD&D Insurance, Short & Long-Term DisabilityCommunity Involvement InitiativesEmployee Referral Bonuses and Product DiscountsNote: Not all benefits listed above are available to all employees at all locations.Equity, Inclusion & AccessibilityCuraleaf is an equal opportunity employer.
