OverviewLecturer, Management of Organizations – Haas School of BusinessThe Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses in Management of Organizations as a lecturer should an opening arise. The pool will remain in place for one year.Position detailsPosition title: LecturerSalary range: The UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment. The current full-time salary range for this position is $68,247-$192,040.Percent time: Positions may range up to 33% time.Review timeline: The use of a lecturer pool does not guarantee an open position. Review dates are specified in AP Recruit. Applications are typically reviewed for summer session needs in April, fall in May, and for spring in November.Position duration: Initial appointments are one semester to one year.Application WindowOpen date: May 1, 2025Most recent review date: Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time)Final date: Thursday, Apr 30, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time)Applications will continue to be accepted after the review date if the position has not been filled.Position DescriptionThe Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses in Management of Organizations (topics include power and politics, organizational behavior, leadership, negotiations, decision making, conflict resolution, group and team dynamics, managing diversity, talent recruitment and retention, finding meaning and engagement in work, and people analytics) as a lecturer should an opening arise. Federal law requires UC to employ only individuals legally able to work in the United States.QualificationsBasic qualifications (required at time of application): A Bachelor Degree or equivalent international degree at time of application.Additional qualifications (required at start): A minimum of four years of professional practice in a field relevant to the course being taught.Preferred qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience in professional practice (leading people, negotiations, coaching groups/teams, managing diversity, recruitment/retention) by start date; and/or a PhD in psychology or sociology by start date.
