Intellectual Property Attorney

Overview Intellectual Property Attorney Seeking a Mid to Senior Level Intellectual Property Attorney with a computer science/electrical engineering background to join our Intellectual Property team in any of our firm offices. Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications is required and technical expertise in computer circuits, multiprocessor design, and/or telecommunications is of particular interest. Responsibilities Interviewing inventors and preparing patent applications Conducting all stages of US and foreign patent prosecution, including ex parte appeals Conducting validity, infringement and freedom to operate studies, including preparing associated legal opinion letters Providing legal counsel on intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent matters and including basic licensing, trademark and copyright matters Opportunities to work on and develop skills in licensing and litigation Collaborating with partners, associates and support staff to ensure effective case management Staying abreast of developments in intellectual property law and contribute to the firm's knowledge base Qualifications 2+ years of patent prosecution experience JD from an accredited law school Licensed to practice in Florida Technical background (BS/MS preferred) Registered practitioner at US Patent and Trademark Office (or at least Patent Bar Eligible) Strong research and writing skills Superior analytical skills Familiarity with intellectual property law and patent litigation procedures Litigation experience is a bonus but not required Interested candidates can apply directly to this posting or send resume to . #J-18808-Ljbffr
