Intellectual Property AttorneySeeking a mid to senior level Intellectual Property Attorney with computer science/electrical engineering background to join our Intellectual Property team in any of our firm offices. Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications is required and technical expertise in computer circuits, multiprocessor design, and/or telecommunications is of particular interest.ResponsibilitiesInterviewing inventors and preparing patent applicationsConducting all stages of US and foreign patent prosecution, including ex parte appealsConducting validity, infringement and freedom to operate studies, including preparing associated legal opinion lettersProviding legal counsel on intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent matters and including basic licensing, trademark and copyright mattersOpportunities to work on and develop skills in licensing and litigationCollaborating with partners, associates and support staff to ensure effective case managementStaying abreast of developments in intellectual property law and contribute to the firm/'s knowledge baseQualifications2+ years of patent prosecution experienceJD from an accredited law schoolLicensed to practice in Ohio.Technical background (BS/MS preferred)Registered practitioner at US Patent and Trademark Office (or at least Patent Bar Eligible)Strong research and writing skillsSuperior analytical skillsFamiliarity with intellectual property law and patent litigation proceduresLitigation experience is a bonus but not requiredInterested candidates can apply directly to this posting or send resume to . #J-18808-Ljbffr
