In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program.Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.Federal Work Study students may apply.Be in good disciplinary standing.Must be located in the U.S.For complete program details, please visit our website: Duties and Responsibilities:Signing out equipment, opening cabinets, and providing special gear needs such as vibraphones, percussion instruments, microphone box, and keyboards to classrooms.Assisting faculty members with class needs throughout the day, including music copying and library access.Delivering mail to and from the ensemble office.Performing daily inventory of room conditions and equipment, including music stands, chairs, and general tidiness of rooms and physical plant work order requests.Maintaining the ensemble department library.Posting class cancellation notices.Providing access to students for rehearsals at night and on weekends, monitoring equipment, and acting as a liaison between students and staff.Assisting with ensemble audition sign-ups during the week before Midterms and Finals.The department staff may add various projects as necessary.Required Skills and Knowledge:Communication skills, both written and oral.Proven computer skills.Bookkeeping, equipment handling, and customer service skills.Research and self-motivation skills.Leadership and time management.Application Materials:Cover letter and resume.Pay Rate:Student Worker 1Hiring Manager:Sérgio RosaIf you're interested in engaging with the Berklee community while earning money, consider applying for student employment.
