Associate IT Helpdesk Specialist

Overview: VTG is seeking an Associate Cybersecurity Analyst Support Specialist to provide on-site IT support to the NAVSEA Headquarters Activity Chief Information Officer (ACIO) office at the Washington Navy Yard. The candidate will be expected to understand IT Helpdesk responsibilities, follow established standard operating procedures to document and troubleshoot IT related issues, identify and implement corrective actions, and escalate complex and high priority issues as appropriate. This position will be full time with at least 8 hours daily.What will you do?Assist users with documenting NMCI computer issues and contacting NMCI Helpdesk for ticket creationProvide telecommunications (iPhone/iPad) support to NAVSEA HQ user baseAssist users with setup and installation of hardwareMaintain accurate NMCI asset inventory for NAVSEA HQOrganize and maintain hardware inventoryAssist ACIO with data call inputsAsset and service management, account creation and assigning user permissionsClearly articulate issues and provide resolution recommendationsOther duties as assignedDo you have what it takes?Required skills:Strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to achieve CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of hireExperience dealing with NMCI and Navy systemsModerate to strong Microsoft Office Suite skillsMust have ability to receive and maintain a DoD Secret ClearanceProactive and excellent customer serviceAttention to detailPreferred skills:Current DoD Secret Clearance5+ years professional work experienceCurrent CompTIA Security+ certificationAbout the companyVT Group is a privately held United States defense and services company, with its origins in a former British shipbuilding group, previously known as Vosper Thornycroft. #J-18808-Ljbffr
