DescriptionLeidos is seeking a Lead Engineering Technologist to provide project and administrative support for electric utility design engineering. This position is hybrid in nature, with some time spent working out of a Seattle, WA office, and some time spent working remotely. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with electric distribution projects for electric utilities and will be familiar with permitting processes.Key Responsibilities of the Lead Engineering Technologist are as follows:Administering and generating Joint Use finesGenerating and managing transfer notifications through Alden OneCreating and assigning SCL WAMS asset numbers for new assets and projectsIntaking, processing, and managing engineering as-builtsProcessing and managing ROW permitting applications for several jurisdictionsIntaking, approving, and processing customer applicationsInvestigating Alden One and WAMS for pole replacement work orders and transfer statuses related to the Double Pole projectManaging Master Pole Attachment Agreements and maintaining Certificates of Insurance for over 150 Wireline customersCompiling and generating billing reports for accounting, which subsequently issues invoices to Joint Use customersCollaborating with Cost Accounting and P&CM to accurately assign invoices to billable work ordersIssuing permits for Joint Use and Wood Pole Design Team, ensuring they are officially authorized and compliant with regulationsConducting thorough research and taking necessary actions to address and resolve customer complaints effectivelyCreating comprehensive internal and external reports and metricsGenerating reports to identify work orders ready for closure in WAMSMonitoring and addressing Customer Called completes, with a backlog of 9 months on inspections and overdue customer final close-outs from previous yearsPlotting, researching, and fielding quarter section maps (ability to work in all weather conditions required)Background Requirements:Completed Associate's degree or higherA minimum of 5 years of project coordinating, administrative, or other closely related experiencePrevious experience working directly at an electric utility or in a consulting environment for electric utilities is highly preferredAbility to provide reliable transportation, as some work will be conducted in the officeStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsExperience with customer-facing activities/responsibilitiesProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Professional Attributes:Collaborative attitude and inclusivity of individuals from diverse backgrounds and locationsAbility to work with limited supervisionPositive attitudeProfessional dress and demeanorAt Leidos, we pride ourselves on being a trusted, technology-focused solutions provider.
