Known for excellence and professionalism, we’re hired as strategic and creative partners by our biopharmaceutical clients to drive category/brand awareness and growth.Position OverviewThe Senior Director, Project Management is the operational lead and senior-most PM partner across a portfolio of business. This role requires a balance of strategic oversight, hands-on operational leadership, and team management. The Senior Director is accountable for ensuring high-quality delivery, driving efficiency across workstreams, and guiding teams through complex, fast-moving initiatives.This individual thrives in dynamic environments, maintaining calm and clarity while ensuring seamless execution across multiple functions. The role also requires a consistent onsite presence in Boston (3 days per week), working directly alongside the client team to liaise across multiple stakeholders and ensure seamless collaboration, communication, and project visibility.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the portfolio leader across assigned accounts, ensuring all initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, serving as a strategic and solutions-oriented partner.Drive cross-functional alignment—rallying account, creative, strategy, and production teams to maintain updated project information and deliverables.Lead the launch of complex, multi-channel initiatives, bringing proven experience managing end-to-end launch planning, execution, and optimization.Create and manage robust work plans, projections, and prioritization frameworks to support agency goals.Oversee project scope, budget, and staffing plans, escalating risks to senior leadership as needed.Leverage Smartsheet and Excel to develop, track, and maintain detailed project schedules, resource allocations, and reporting dashboards.Provide operational leadership in ambiguous or evolving situations—remaining calm, decisive, and effective in “flying the plane while building it.”Lead large-scale project reviews and cross-team post-mortems, ensuring learnings are applied across future work.Partner with functional leads to break bottlenecks, reallocate resources, and optimize overall team performance.Act as a point of escalation for vendor, production, and delivery challenges, ensuring timely resolution.Manage, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, fostering excellence in execution and leadership growth.Qualifications10+ years of project management experience within an agency or healthcare communications environment, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role.Strong client-facing skills with the ability to confidently partner with senior-level client stakeholders.Deep expertise in Smartsheet and Excel for project planning, tracking, and reporting.Demonstrated experience leading large-scale product or campaign launches, with a thorough understanding of end-to-end execution.Proven success in guiding cross-functional teams and managing complex portfolios.Adept at balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution.Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure environments.Ability to be onsite in Boston 3 days per week.Salary range: $170,000 - $195,000The salary range provided is for the Boston-hybrid position, which requires in-office presence, and represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. For candidates in other locations, salary will be adjusted to reflect local market rates. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience, education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need.
