This challenging position offers the opportunity to work with leading edge AI & signal processing sensor solutions embedded in smartphones, automotive, IOT, smartwatches as well as other consumer electronics devices. Job activities span the whole product life cycle from early R&D to commercial deployment. The successful candidate will work with systems, software, and integration/test engineers in the QCT sensors group.Job responsibilities include:Developing sensor algorithms in high level languages (MATLAB, Python) including algorithm performance validationMaking effective engineering tradeoffs between performance, memory, power consumption, and computational complexityWorking with global systems and software teamsEmbedded software development in C/C++ for fixed & floating-point based designsCreating reports on algorithm evaluation results and delivering complete design and user documentationThe position is technology focused and involves participation in a broad range of sensors systems engineering activities within the Sensors Technologies group.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field4+ years Software & Systems Engineering or related work experience4+ years’ experience with programming languages such as C, C++, MATLAB, Python, Java, etc.Basic understanding of digital signal processing, linear algebra, probability and statisticsMachine Learning concepts including supervised and unsupervised learning, feature extraction, classification, regression, Bayesian inference, neural networks, Natural Language ProcessingPreferred Qualifications4+ years of experience in the following areas:Knowledge of fixed-point concepts and application of it in algorithm designsStrong analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced team environmentKnowledge of MEMS & inertial sensorsStrong publications in field of signal processing/AIExcellent written and verbal skills are requiredEmbedded real time operating systems including debugging skillsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience; OR Master/u2019s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience; OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.*Works in the lab, can use hazardous chemicals (e.g., glue, machinery).Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
