Available locations: Austin, TX; Washington, DC; Denver, CO.About the roleAs the Engineering Manager: Product Analytics, you will lead the engineering efforts behind Cloudflare/'s product analytics initiatives, partnering with Product Management to enhance understanding of customer and prospect engagement. You will help Cloudflare grow and tackle challenges such as:Instrumenting the Cloudflare Product: provide a powerful platform to gather high-quality user data, maintain a scalable data architecture, and enable collaboration across teams.Building a Data Pipeline for Product Analytics and Billing Data: develop and manage a robust data pipeline supporting product analytics and billing data with actionable insights and cross-functional collaboration.Managing Data Quality and Governance: balance storage/processing costs with high data quality and governance.Serving Diverse Internal Customer Needs: meet the needs of internal data dashboards and reports while maintaining development this role, you/'ll lead a team of engineers, collaborate with product management, design, and go-to-market teams, and promote engineering excellence across Cloudflare.What you/'ll doLeadership and AccountabilityOwn the successful execution of goals within the product analytics solution area, aligned to company objectives.Lead by example with high standards for ethics and integrity; develop leaders who can drive results.Delivery and ExecutionDrive goal-setting and own cross-functional initiatives; provide regular progress updates to peers, executives, and stakeholders.Validate and adjust team goals for meaningful impact; monitor delivery and unblock obstacles.Address underperforming teams as needed.Strategic Thinking and VisionTranslate ambiguous problems into concrete goals and outcomes; set a clear direction across teams.Identify opportunities to leverage existing skills and technologies to accelerate delivery.Develop a compelling vision for your area and foster collaboration with other leaders.Technical ExcellenceImprove data quality, pipeline reliability, and development velocity; implement best practices for instrumentation and pipelines.Use data to identify issues and drive corrective action; stay current with modern data stacks and web ternal Customer FocusUnderstand internal customer needs by analyzing reporting requirements and engaging data consumers.Develop strategies to serve internal customers relying on data for product insights or billing analysis.ResponsibilitiesLeadership SkillsProven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams; adapt to changing goals and reorganizations as needed.Manage competing priorities and ensure critical tasks are completed; break down complex problems and drive iterative fluence and CommunicationExcellent communication skills; influence cross-functional teams and articulate a clear, inspiring vision.Technical ProficiencyDeep understanding of modern data stacks, product instrumentation, and web technologies; engineering background preferred.Data-Driven Decision MakingWork with data to inform decisions, define and track key metrics to measure progress and impact.Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and ExperienceBachelor/'s or Master/'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles focusing on data or analyticsProven experience building and maintaining data pipelines for product analytics or billing in an enterprise settingTrack record of driving organizational excellence and making tough decisionsCompensationCompensation may vary by location.New York City, Washington, DC, and California (excluding Bay Area) hires: estimated $213,000–$261,000Colorado-based hires: estimated $191,000–$233,000EquityThis role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.BenefitsCloudflare offers comprehensive health, retirement, time off, and other benefits.
