OverviewCome join Intuit Trust and Safety Product Abuse engineering team as a Sr Software Engineer. Be a part of the technology team which utilizes cutting-edge technology, Intuit capabilities, AI, and agentic solutions to fight product abuse/fraud, help with the adoption of enterprise risk solutions across Quickbooks and Mailchimp. This role requires leveraging technical and engineering expertise, demonstrating deep customer empathy, and employing innovative technology to protect our customers and Intuit.ResponsibilitiesGathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planningDevelop scalable, efficient systems to ensure user accounts are protected, provide tools and utilities for related functions and prevent abuse/misuse of Intuit productsEnsure code quality, operational excellence, and adherence to software engineering best practicesDevelop solutions using Java, Go, AWS, GCP, MYSQL, DynamoDB and AI driven development toolsDesigning/developing prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POC’s)Work cross functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, development, Policy, Product lines, Data Science, Legal, Security to understand abuse trends and drive forward resultsAbility to take a vague customer problem and solve it end to end with accountability by navigating through ambiguityTeam player possessing strong analytical, problem solving and communication skillsStrong mentoring skills with ability to provide technical guidance and review codeAbility to work effectively in a fast paced, complex technical environment with high adaptability and flexibilityRoughly 80-90% hands-on codingExperience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologiesContribute to the design and architecture of the project'Self-starter' attitude and the ability to make decisions independentlyQualificationsBS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience6+ years of hands-on experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.Strong CS fundamentals - data structures, algorithms and distributed systemsStrong OOD and SOA principles, experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST and gRPCExperience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Full-stack/backend development experience, experience with AI technologies/tools and apply it to user experiences or backend solutions.Prior working experience in a cloud computing environment like AWS/GCP is highly desiredDemonstrated experience in technically leading complex projectsExperience in Java/J2EE, SQL, Go or any of the following Object-Oriented LanguagesExperience with AWS products (including EC2, S3, RDS), Docker and Kubernetes, preferredExperience with AI technologies like Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering, DialogFlow, PythonGood understanding of AI concepts, including how AI models function, their various types, their respective advantages and disadvantages along with experience in integrating with AI/ML modelsUnderstanding of the latest tools and technologies that apply AI to real-world applicationsSolid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred ExperienceExperience developing, maintaining, and innovating large-scale applicationsFamiliar with the development challenges inherent in highly scalable solutionsAlways Be Learning: you’re prototyping and/or researching the up-and-coming technology and solutionsExperience with various, modern architecture frameworksStrong preference for Candidates withExperience with fraud prevention, abuse patterns, cyber security #J-18808-Ljbffr
