Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Software Engineering for ChromoLogic LLC (a world-class innovation center with active programs in machine vision, AI/ML (neuromorphic computing) as well as novel edge computing solutions for healthcare. The candidate will also lead the software team at Covisus Inc. (a VC funded spinoff from ChromoLogic that has developed an award winning and industry leading technology for tagless tracking of assets based on its vTag technology. As the leader of the Covisus software engineering team, the successful candidate will spearhead the development and implementation of a cutting-edge imaging hardware and software system designed specifically for tracking supply chain items within the military/aerospace and medical supply chain sectors. Key Responsibilities Opportunity for an individual with a record of technical and team leadership that aspires to take on a business leadership role A hands-on leader and a subject matter expert (SME) on all aspects of the core product: algorithms, architecture, implementation Manage a technical team of dev ops that implements via SAFe 6.0 methodology Set strategic and tactical direction of the team with ownership of the team’s execution & deliverables at the sprint – level (agile scrum, “SAFe-like”) Own the architecture and the technology roadmap that aligns with the company’s business plan and product roadmap Work collaboratively with CEO, VP Product and VP Operations to plan and deliver products, enhancements and support sales opportunities Represent the technologies and developments within the company, supporting Product, Sales and Business Technical deliverables include responsibility (RACI) for the technology that defines the product as well as accountability (RACI) for product deliverables to ensure products are developed and delivered to the customer as planned Required Qualifications Expert Python engineer with strong Linux expertise and preferred Windows experience that includes 3-5 years direct development experience Minimum 3 years dev ops (development) with agile scrum methodology, i.e. SAFe 6.0 Minimum 2 years direct reporting leadership of a team of technical members with a track record of technical leadership & deliverables Enterprise – level architecture Technical issue resolution Capacity planning decisions that align with the business and product priorities Prioritization of the team’s development deliverables that align with the business and product priorities Direct hardware, as a platform, and software, as a value-added, design / coding experience Experience with the following technologies either as technical lead or in a program management role: Python, Linux, Windows, Microservices, CI/CD, Full Stack Web Development, SQL database, AWS, Docker Leads development of robust applications with potential web/cloud integration via RESTful APIs and microservices Experienced across diverse environments—including native Linux development and occasional Apple platforms (e.g., Swift)—and skilled in CI/CD practices to ensure reliable, maintainable software delivery What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package, including stock options Opportunities for professional growth and development A collaborative and inclusive work culture The chance to work on cutting-edge technology projects that make a real-world impact #J-18808-Ljbffr
