And so much e break through with us.The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.Role PurposeThe Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Solution Architect role will be responsible for working with business leaders and users as well as IT resources to define, develop, implement, and support standardized Siemens Opcenter Execution (formerly known as Camstar) solutions across a global environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic view and understanding of Siemens Opcenter Execution to lead design and development efforts across Corning.Design, implement, and support manufacturing solutions in accordance to standard Corning IT practicesStrong technical understanding and hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution modeling and development tools including Designer and Portal.Engage with internal/external customers to analyze requirements from a business and systems perspective by interpreting business goals and objectives and translating them into technical solutions. Strong understanding of ERP, MES, shop floor controls and how they integrate to provide a complete solution to the plant.Ensure that MES work is completed on schedule and that impacts to manufacturing systems are thoroughly documented and communicated by serving as the MES lead on global projects.Create specifications for developers to use as direction for development.Experiences/Education - RequiredBS/MS in Computer Science /Systems Management/IT Related fieldStrong leadership and project management skillsIn-depth knowledge of industry best practices in application development5+ years’ experience using programming languages such as .NET, C#Experience working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environmentIn-depth knowledge of source code management systemsIn-depth knowledge of relational databasesUnderstanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.Experience developing in Siemens Opcenter Execution Designer and Portal.Experience working in a Scrum/Agile team.Strong communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation and negotiation skills (including ability to “translate” between business and technology needs).Proven track record of implementing IT solutions that make meet business demands and are technically sound.Ability to continuously prioritize and multitask efficiently.Ability to influence decisions with critical thinking based upon experience and graspof the strategic intent of the project.Experience with Angular developmentThis position does not support immigration sponsorship.The range for this position is$103,426.00-$142,211.00assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
