Our comprehensive portfolio is built to address the challenges of today and adapt the future, ensuring long-term sustainability and success for our customers.Ameresco is looking for a Site Safety Manager to work on a project we have at the Navel Research Laboratory in Washington D.C. The project will will be 2-3 years in length.**Responsibilities:*** Prepare the Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analysis for assigned Business Unit projects;* Ensure compliance to all Safety Policies and adopted Standards;* Ensure personal protective equipment meets applicable OSHA/EPA requirements and employees are trained on proper use;* Conduct Safety Audits of assigned project sites ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised;* Safety training of all personnel assigned to project;* Conduct project safety inspections with follow-up inspections of any open items;* Review Subcontractor safety qualifications and attend Pre-Construction Meetings;* Creation and evaluating activity hazard reviews;* Regulatory compliance with OSHA and Ameresco standards and conducts accident and incident investigations;* Development and Implementation of Corrective Action Plans;* Work with project supervision to create safety solutions to safety problems;* Foster and maintains a positive safety culture for the project personnel;* Maintain all safety certifications as required by contracts;* Conduct quarterly safety meetings for Project Staff;* Produce Safety Reports of activities performed;* Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and management;* Lead Incident/accident Investigations; and* Perform other duties as required.**Minimum Qualifications:*** B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or similar Field* Minimum of 5+ years construction industry safety experience on similar projects, ability to effectively communicate safety within a project team* An average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the past 5 years with training for competent person status for at least the following 4 areas of competency: Excavation; Scaffolding; Fall protection; Hazardous energy; Confined space; Health hazard recognition, evaluation and control of chemical, physical and biological agents;* Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification* EM385-1-1 40-Hr. Safety Certification* Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification* Current First Aid & CPR Certification* NFPA 70E certification for flash training**Additional Qualifications:*** Proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.* Must be organized, proactive and have proven experience in OSHA Compliance.* Skillful communicator in both verbal and in written communication.* Excellent writing skills with proper grammar.* Ability to travel frequently* A great listener who can communicate professionally and in an open and positive approach.#LI-AG1Ameresco challenges the brightest, most talented, and creative individuals in the industry by providing an environment that fosters initiative and achievement.
