We are building something special and invite you to contribute to a brighter future for data pensation: $125,000-$1,750,000/yearRole overview: As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will report to the QA Engineering Manager. You will enhance test automation across the Virtru Data Security Platform, including the TDF SDK, Key Server, and ABAC Server. This enterprise solution enables secure data management for edge devices, with a focus on privacy.As a Senior SDET, your responsibilities will include:Understand the system under test in depthDesign, develop, and execute reliable and efficient automated tests for features and regression testingAnalyze automated test results, identifying failures as test issues or functional defectsWork closely with product and engineering teams to identify issues, investigate root causes, and propose solutionsSupport a collaborative environment by giving and receiving constructive feedbackCommunicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, proactively sharing insights and soliciting feedbackParticipate in planning and estimation, questioning work that lacks value for the engineering teamManage risks, uncertainty, and maintain accountability, even in high-pressure situationsContinuously learn and adapt to fast-changing environmentsSupport and contribute to an inclusive and growth-focused team cultureSkills that will help you thrive in this role:Experience: 5–8 years testing applications deployed in productionAutomation Expertise: Functional, performance, accessibility, and security testing, including test case development and executionDesktop Application Testing: Automated testing for desktop apps, particularly on WindowsTech Stack: Go, Java, C++, C# on GCP and Microsoft platformsTesting Frameworks: Unit, API, and Web UI tests using PlaywrightAPI & CLI Testing: REST API and CLI testingInfrastructure & Deployment: IaC concepts; familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and cloud environmentsVirtru qualities for success:Thinking outside the box to respectfully challenge teammates in pursuit of excellenceStrong sense of urgency with an action-oriented mindsetAbility to collaborate and adapt to shifting prioritiesComfort with asynchronous communication (Slack, email, Zoom, etc.)Virtru emphasizes wellbeing with a holistic program covering Occupational, Mental, Social, Physical, and Environmental Wellness, including benefits such as:Flexible PTO and 14 holidays$1,500 annual Learning & Development stipendFrequent team celebrationsEmployee Assistance ProgramHeadspace access for mental health3% retirement contributionFlexible time for personal needsDE&I and equal opportunityVirtru values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
