Senior Director Solutions Architecture

OverviewThe Senior Director, Solution Architecture (Device Connectivity) is responsible for driving the strategy, design and development of BAO’s connectivity products and services for Point of Care devices. The role includes defining the strategy and roadmap of new and existing products that are robust, scalable and responsive to customer requirements and feedback, and manages the transition of products from development into commercial operation. This role involves collaborating with various departments, and ensuring that the solutions are aligned with customers business objectives and health priorities.Core Job ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development and implementation of new connectivity products including both the Universal Gateway and SMS Printer products.Working closely with the Chief Product Officer and VP, Solutions Architect, contribute to the design, development and implementation of BAO connectivity solution(s) and its associated product platforms, including:Product workflow and product design to meet customer requirementsResiliency and redundancy requirementsPerformanceDesign requirements documentationDeveloping the Commercial PlanIQ (Internal Quality) test plan creation and managementLead technical pre-sales consultancyPromote BAO at tradestands/eventsInvestigate new product technology such as Satellite, LoRa, RedCap and othersInvestigate new market opportunities and provide feedback to the New Business team.Accountability for complying with the applicable elements of the BAO Quality Management Systems.Perform other duties and projects as assigned.RequirementsA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or 20+ years relevant experience in lieu of a degreeSignificant experience of successfully managing technology-based teams, change management process and programs, with demonstrable evidence of effective design, delivery and problem-solving skills.Proven track record of cultivating consistently excellent customer service environments internally and/or externally.Strong technology awareness in line with area of responsibility.Experience of leading and implementing IT initiatives and active stakeholder management.Experience of working in virtual teams, able to lead and participate on a remote basis.Experience of working with culturally diverse groups of people, able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business, and with both technical and non-technical people, adapting approaches to suit the audience.Experience of establishing and leading teams and coaching and developing team members to maximize individual and team effectiveness.Expert knowledge and experience of working with M2M and other mobile technologies.Advanced knowledge of Medical in vitro-diagnostic (IVD) testing and technologies.Working knowledge of patient treatment pathways.Expert knowledge of Point of Care diagnostics instruments, associated assays and connectivity protocols.Expert knowledge of implementation, support and admin of Linux based systemsAdvanced knowledge of working with SQLExpert Knowledge of mobile and data networks, including routing, Firewalling, troubleshooting and packet capture.Expert knowledge of design and implementation of infrastructure (hardware, software and network), maintenance and operations.Expert knowledge of validation testing procedures and writing IQs for testers to complete.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesInternational Trade and Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
