Our focus is Safety, so our customers can focus on their jobs. Position SummaryWe seek a highly-motivated, experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our engineering team. This position requires possession of a valid license as a Professional Civil Engineer or Professional Traffic Engineer issued by the State of California. Candidate must be able to review and approve Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) for safety and regulatory compliance with little to no supervision. ResponsibilitiesReview and approve Traffic Control Plans for safety and regulatory compliance.Lead challenging design projects and provide direction to the engineering team.Serve as the subject matter expert for work zone traffic control projects.Assist with coaching and training to the engineering teamCoordinate with Project Managers and/or Engineering Manager dealing with work distributionPrepare plan revisions based on customer and/or public agency feedbackProvide complex temporary traffic control layouts including multi-phase and multi-jurisdictional plansAssist with complex base plans and/or complex temporary traffic control layoutsProvide design assistance for plans prepared by other team membersProvide feedback on plan reviews for management documentationMeet or exceed project deadlines.Other duties as assigned What you need to be amazing at City RiseMinimum Qualifications2+ years experience preparing TCPs in CaliforniaPossession of a valid license as a Professional Civil Engineer or Professional Traffic Engineer issued by the State of California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.Desired QualificationsB.S.
