Job Description

Requirements Must have: Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Decision Sciences, Actuarial Science, or a related analytical STEM field, alongside five years of experience, or any acceptable equivalent of education and work experience. Strong focus on mathematics, including statistics and programming, business intelligence/analytics, plus experience in data science tools and research utilizing large data sets. Subject matter expertise in modeling/research/analytics or actuarial science is a must. Expertise in value creation and business model concepts; proficiency in multiple statistical software programs. Ability to construct highly complex models, interpret results, and recommend modifications. In-depth knowledge of advanced statistics related to data models; capability to apply emerging statistical methods to complex tasks. Proficient in 3-5 areas such as Regression, Classification, Machine Vision, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and Statistical modeling. Expertise in Python/R, Databricks, SQL. Experience in cross-functional or enterprise roles; familiarity with financial linkage models and Bayesian models is an advantage. Knowledge of customer experience domain and survey data is favorable. Responsibilities: Lead business or technical initiatives focusing on the design or development of analytical solutions. Spearhead the establishment of community best practices in AI/Machine Learning, statistical techniques, and coding practices. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing through discussions, presentations, or peer reviews. Challenge traditional viewpoints where relevant and persuade peers and leadership to embrace new ideas. Provide strategic guidance based on technical expertise to team members. Manage expectations with business partners across multiple projects, generate ideas, build consensus, and mitigate potential conflicts. Communicate analysis, insights, and findings effectively to teams, peers, and business partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure successful execution of data science strategies. Serve as a mentor for less experienced analytic professionals, assist in onboarding new employees and interns, and support recruitment and talent assessment initiatives. Work alongside Senior Staff Data Scientists on training and skill development efforts, including delivering training sessions to the analytics community. Undertake additional tasks as assigned, demonstrating thought leadership in identifying and addressing business process gaps and creating a strategic vision. In terms of compensation, the annual base salary range for this role is between $157,000.00 – $259,200.00, influenced by various factors such as role complexity, candidate qualifications, and location.
