Specific applications include automating mission planning, battle-space understanding, voice-control of assets, and enabling higher levels of autonomy.What Youine DoingDistill and fine-tune transformer architectures so they can be deployed onto edge devices or compute-denied environmentsPropose and prototype LLM-based Agentic systems that solve real-world problems using state-of-the-art techniquesDevelop and maintain mission-relevant benchmarksCollaborate cross-functionally with different Anduril business lines to discover and scope new research problemsRequired QualificationsBS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience developing and benchmarking ML algorithmsExperience pushing and maintaining ML algorithms in productionStrong Python skills with experience in ML frameworks such as PyTorchMust be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government clearancePreferred QualificationsExperience fine-tuning transformer-based modelsExperience deploying deep-learning models to edge devices or air-gapped environmentsPrior experience in defense tech or startup environmentsSalary and BenefitsUS Salary Range: $168,000—$252,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on compensation factors.
