This position, based in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, plays a vital role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.This position does not offer relocation support and requires on-site work with no remote options.Position OverviewThe Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It provides a critical operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Moreover, C2BMC is an essential component of all grounds and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.Essential ResponsibilitiesMust have proven experience in DoD operational computing environments and the ability to work as part of an integrated Cybersecurity team responsible for designing, engineering, testing, certifying, and delivering a secure Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS)Possess in-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity engineering, network design concepts, experience with security audit tools, and administration of security devices such as firewalls and intrusion detection systemsConducting unit-level release testing, PR/TP testing, and developing and implementing test plans, which include verification testing, system testing, and field-testing activitiesRequires preparing technical documents and communicating cybersecurity issues and reports to senior government and military officials as part of daily tasksStrong understanding of RMF and interpretation of requirements, including success criteriaKnowledge of Agile and automated testingWorking knowledge of implementing Common Criteria, NIST, and NIAP methodologiesUnderstanding how to write concise test steps and other technical documentationSalary rangesSalary range in Huntsville: $105,400 - $158,000Salary range in Colorado Springs: $100,300 - $150,500Basic QualificationsPlease list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.A Bachelor’s Degree in STEM fields (Science, Computer Science, Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Physics, or related) with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD with 1 year of relevant work experienceApplicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of applicationApplicants must have a current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.)Frequent travel to SSFB and/or CMAFS is required to perform Agile sprint activities within the C2BMC testbed (CTB)Must possess skills and experience with two or more of the following tools: ACAS, HBSS, ArcSight (SIEM), Endgame, CyberArk, ICAP, Multi-Factor Authentication, UserLock, BitLockerMust know the following operating systems: RHEL (Linux), Windows 10, Windows Servers; RBAC Patching (Active Directory, GPOs)BigFix Networking: JunOS, FortiGate, SecureCRT, IP Plan, Web Proxy (Data Power)Preferred Qualifications:CISSP Certification is highly desirableAbility to communicate effectively with system engineers, network engineers, and software developers is preferredKnowledge and experience with STIGs, along with Ansible vulnerability scanning and network assessment tools, are a plusWhat We Can Offer YouNorthrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that promotes your growth, supporting both employees and the company's success.
