Project Manager, Facilities III

Represents Sutter Health on design and construction projects, including new development, facility expansion, renovation, and retrofitting. Coordinates, monitors, and reports on design and construction activities in accordance with the project controls requirements as outlined in the Process & Controls Manual (PCM). Is responsible for administering consultant and construction agreements. Facilitates quality control, maintenance of design and construction schedules, construction management, and owner representative responsibilities. Manages small to medium size teams of external vendors and internal affiliate and service line staff on small to medium scale projects. Demonstrates strong project management competence works with some autonomy and is responsible for delivering small to medium scale projects, or significant sub-scopes of large-scale projects with moderate to difficult complexity.This is a work from home role with onsite requirements. The successful candidate should live in the Sutter footprint.Job Description : EDUCATIONEquivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.Bachelor's : Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or other closely related degree.TYPICAL EXPERIENCE :5 years recent relevant experienceSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEGood knowledge of the Last Planner System and its use in Lean Construction.Able to build reliable cost estimates and schedules for small to medium scale projectsAble to assess typical risks to scope budget and schedule for small to medium scale projects.Good familiarity with health care construction building codes and regulations, space programming and allocation cost analysis, jurisdictional approval processes, construction means and methods, construction processes and procedures, and contract implementationGood familiarity with the state level building approval processes including the typical requirements of the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI), the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), the California Office of the State Firm Marshall (OSFM) and The Joint Commission (TJC).Good familiarity with the typical building approval processes at the county and city level.Strong competence in project management techniques and software.Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as team skills to ensure appropriate communications and coordination across project delivery team, affiliate, and vendors.Good client relationship management skills to maintain positive relations between fps and affiliate leadership.Awareness of the importance of team culture on team performance and ability to set expectationsAble to lead project teams with integrity and develop strong culture of accountabilityJob Shift : DaysSchedule : Full TimeShift Hours : Days of the Week :NoneBenefits : Unions :This position is work from home eligible.Position Status : ExemptWeekly Hours : Employee Status :RegularNumber of Openings :Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE / M / F / Disability / Veterans.Pay Range is $65.81 to $98.71 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
