Job Vacancies in this Accounting field have been opened and published up to the specified time.Job ResponsibilityFinancial Services Director Reports to: Executive Pastor of Strategy Classification: Full-Time, ExemptMust be, or be willing to become a member of Brookwood Church.Position Summary:The Financial Services Director is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the church, ensuring financial integrity, transparency, and accountability. This role manages budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and stewardship of church resources to support the mission and vision of the church.Qualifications:Bachelor/'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a nonprofit or church setting (of 2,000 or more).Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and financial best practices.Proficiency in accounting software (church finance platforms).High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to the church/'s mission.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Use of following tools to support job function:Microsoft Windows and Office (in particular, Excel)Internet and Outlook Web AccessChurch DatabasePreferred Experience:Experience managing large church budgets ($5M+ annually).Familiarity with donor management systems and online giving platforms.Knowledge of church governance, legal compliance, and risk management.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management & Reporting:Oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting.Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analysis to leadership, elders, and board members.Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, nonprofit accounting standards, and internal policies.Manage and monitor cash flow, investments, and financial sustainability.Stewardship & Giving:Oversee the administration of tithes, offerings, and other contributions, ensuring proper handling, tracking, and donor acknowledgment.Develop and implement stewardship initiatives that encourage generosity and financial faithfulness.Collaborate with ministry leaders to provide financial guidance for fundraising and capital campaigns.Support leadership team in regards to any capital campaigns.Help with implementation.Operations & Compliance:Maintain internal controls to safeguard church assets and prevent fraud.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, including payroll and nonprofit reporting requirements.Lead and coordinate annual audits and financial reviews.Team Leadership & Collaboration:Supervise and develop the finance team (AP, AR, Payroll, GL).Work closely with ministry leaders to provide financial insights for strategic planning, budgeting and decision-making.Oversee church payroll, and financial policies.Partner with Human Resources in regards to compensation and benefits.Closed Date : 2025-10-15 #J-18808-Ljbffr
