We are looking for a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Security Analyst to assist federal customers in understanding and implementing cybersecurity strategies for their Appian deployments. This role contributes to the security authorization process and guides customers through the government IT security authorization process.The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity and eager to learn how to architect secure solutions for federal customers. You will gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, and assist in designing end-to-end managed services provided by the government. You will support the development of System Security Packages (SSPs) and learn how to navigate RMF procedures under the guidance of a senior cyber advisor. While working in-person with customers is a priority, the office environment also supports collaboration and relationship-building across teams.ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to secure Appian-based solutions for federal customers.Learn RMF steps such as system categorization, security control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring.Support ATO and FedRAMP authorization by preparing or contributing to Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages and understanding the FedRAMP process.Collaborate with senior analysts to design and implement security solutions that meet federal requirements.Stay updated on federal cybersecurity policies and best practices to effectively support the security authorization process.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field.Active Government Clearance (Secret or above) is required for this opening and maintaining an Active Secret-level clearance is expected.Ability and willingness to perform work within cleared facilities (SCIF work may be required).Around 2+ years of experience as an IT systems administrator (building, maintaining, scripting, patching, and managing hosts, databases, and interconnected cloud services).Tools and ResourcesTraining and Development: Onboarding focuses on department-specific training with ongoing mentorship and programs like First-Friend for new hires.Growth Opportunities: Leadership programs, Appian University training, skills-based training, and tuition reimbursement to support career munity: An inclusive culture with employee-led affinity groups that foster networking and community initiatives.About AppianAppian is a software company that automates business processes.
