OverviewThe Tax Manager for the U.S. will report to the Financial Controller, and up to the Partner responsible for back-office functions. The role will interact with the U.S. Leadership team as well as the Management Committee Member responsible for the U.S. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing tax matters in the U.S. for four legal entities, including but not limited to:ResponsibilitiesEvaluating new opportunities and sales to determine if there are any sales tax considerationsEvaluating new opportunities and sales to determine if we need to register in a new stateEvaluating new opportunities and sales to determine if we need to register for employee withholding in a new stateWorking with FW Legal to ensure we register with the Secretary of State properly in each U.S. stateRegistering all entities as needed for tax on Revenue, Sales, Employee Withholding, etc.Serving as the point of contact for each state government as it relates to tax issuesFiling federal and state taxesEnsuring compliance with local, state and federal tax laws and regulationsQualificationsRequired Skills / Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years experience in a tax related role within Professional Services/ConsultingBachelor Degree in Accounting or BusinessPreferred Skills / Qualifications:Demonstrated experience with tax registration and filings in multiple states and at a federal level.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented work habits.Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to work with all levels of US colleagues.The ability to learn quickly, work independently and meet established individual goals and objectives.Ability to analyze complex tax related topics, to explain them in a comprehensible and recipient-oriented manner.Strong analytical skills and number driven.Team player and strong communicationInterested in working in international environment.Highly motivated and self-driven.Good communication skills to interact with regional finance leads and top management.About the role and environmentAleron companies (Acara Solutions, Aleron Shared Resources, Broadleaf Results, Lume Strategies, TalentRise, Viaduct) are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
