OverviewHarriman is growing! We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team in our full-service practice. Our work is challenging, creative, and thrives on collaboration.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with other structural team members, architects and engineers across studios, and consultants to support project work.Contribute to projects across multiple design markets, including PK-12 education, higher education, government, commercial development, and retail.Engage in all aspects of structural engineering design from inception through construction, including engineering calculations and modeling.Utilize structural analysis software (RAM, Risa) and modeling tools in Revit.Participate in mentoring and professional development within the studio.Travel to project construction sites to review construction progress and learn construction-phase responsibilities.QualificationsTwo or more years of experience, with the ability to obtain your PE license.FE certification is a plus but not required within two years of graduation.Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (with a structural focus) or Structural Engineering.Knowledge of New England Building Codes.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.SoftwareBluebeamRevitNewforma Project CenterDeltek VisionMicrosoft Office SuiteZoom/Teams/Video Conferencing SoftwareWhat Will Set You ApartCollaborative spirit, sense of humor, and a desire to work closely with othersExperience with design software including Revit, RAM Structural Systems, Risa, and TeddsInvolvement in community or design-focused organizationsLove for design and contributing to the built environmentExpectations Of All StaffStrong work ethic and positive attitudeTeam player, adaptable and open to new ideasSeek clarification from colleagues when unsureRespect others and their opinionsManage efforts to complete tasks on time with minimal disruptionBe punctual to appointments and meetingsInform studio leadership of PTO and log in studio PTO calendarParticipate in meetings and trainings, including all-office meetings and studio-specific meetingsAccept and learn from criticism; avoid conflicts of interestRepresent Harriman professionally in all interactionsCommunicate effectively and consistentlyBenefitsWe offer competitive salaries and a full benefits package including medical, dental, 401K, hybrid work schedule, gym reimbursement, and a friendly, collaborative work environment.
