IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.ResponsibilitiesTechnical authority for the EWIS designSystem wiring diagram, harness assembly, and harness installation design requirementsEWIS component qualification and selectionAuthoring test plans and proceduresAuthoring and approving design guidance documentationPerform design reviews ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with system, program and regulatory requirementsAssist in the development of new processes and process improvement initiativesProvide technical guidance and mentor team membersEffectively communicate EWIS system requirements to other engineering disciplinesLead the team in development of novel solutions to complex design and compliance issuesEnforce adherence to established requirements, processes, and proceduresGuide establishment of the EWIS product structureParticipate in various working groups, trade studies, and review boardsAct as the primary EWIS stakeholder during design reviews for other subsystems and IPTsQualifications You Must HaveBachelor/'s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or otherrelateddiscipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceExpert in the requirements of 14 CFR, Part 25, Subpart HBroad experience in the development, design, test, and certification of original Type Designs (TC) and Supplemental Type Designs (STC)Able to effectively and clearly communicate complex regulatory requirements and solutionsIn depth knowledge of environmental electromagnetic effects and electromagnetic compatibility principles, as well as methods of protection and mitigation of those effects on EWIS.Extensive experience with system safety principles and hazard mitigation methodsHighly skilled at analyzing and interpreting federal rules and regulations and how those principles apply to designAbility to understand complex program integration issues and how they may impact design workflow and scheduleFamiliar with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g. 3DExperience, Enovia SmarTeam, Teamcenter)Familiar with logical and harness design CAD tools (e.g. CATIA, ECAD, Capital Logic, HarnessXC, Zuken)Experienced with Model Based Design (MBD) methods and principlesAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearanceQualifications We PreferPrior technical leadership experienceCAMEO experienceRequirements management in JAMADassault Systems 3D ExperiencePrior experience assisting in the development of certification plansPrior experience showing compliance to FAA regulationsAt Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) we deliver customer-focused technology and best-of-breed integrations in the aerospace and defense sectors.
