Position SummaryThis position is an integral part of Meritain Health's dedicated Center of Excellence geared towards Alternative Health Plan solutions. Our COE is dedicated to enhancing sales effectiveness, offering specialized expertise, optimizing operational processes, and elevating overall relationship management with innovative partners that deliver solutions in the Alternative Health Plan Space.As a Senior Proposal Consultant, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the proposal development and sales presentation process for all Alternative Health Plan solutions offered through Meritain Health (e.g. SimplePay powered by Meritain Health).This position is a key driver of additional growth opportunities, where you will partner with Sales, Underwriting, Product, Marketing and other business partners in responding to new proposal requests. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Information (RFI) responses for complex proposals, questionnaires and surveys. The position requires a hands-on approach to resolving proposal issues through project management, research, data gathering and analysis. The position requires a high degree of attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment. This role sits within a nimble team of professionals with a proven ability to meet aggressive turnaround times and manage multiple projects in tandem.We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting, understands the importance of precision and personalization, and is passionate about contributing to high-impact sales this role, you will:Deliver customer-focused, comprehensive, customized, and strategic proposal responses for large consulting firms and clientsApplying in-depth knowledge of the Proposal field to offer feedback for decisions and innovation strategies that enhance organizational growthCustomizing questionnaire responses based on case-specific quote strategies and customer prioritiesConducting thorough research to create questionnaire responses where a standard response does not existCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure each proposal reflects the unique needs and goals of the clientApply creative thinking and adaptability to develop tailored solutions in a fast-paced, client-focused environmentWriting and editing in accordance with company brand standards, plain language and internal style guide standards while applying research and data gathering terpreting and understanding the needs of the customerCollaborating with other team members to create a compelling, well-articulated value proposition that aligns Meritain's products and programs with the customer’s strategyUtilizing the proposal database and established department workflows to respond to questionnaires or ad hoc proposal requestsProject management accountability ensuring the quality and timeliness of publishes responsesDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with our field organization and subject matter expertsApplying the principles of grammar, mechanics and spelling in written workRequired Qualifications2-4 years of experience with writing proposals.3-5 years experience with the healthcare industry and/or health insurance.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g.; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across the business.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Loopio, MPDT, Proposal Tech, or other procurement tools.Excellent written and verbal communication anized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.EducationBachelor's degree preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience will be considered.Anticipated Weekly Hours40Time TypeFull timePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$46,988.00 - $122,400.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
