OverviewHealthRIGHT 360 provides hope, builds health, and changes lives for people in need by offering comprehensive, integrated, compassionate care that includes primary medical care, mental health services, and substance use disorder treatment. Acceptance Place offers residential treatment services designed to serve male individuals identifying as Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender (F/M) with substance use disorders. Our program helps clients address addiction and related issues, increase skills, manage stressors, connect to supportive services, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. This residential inpatient program runs 24/7 for 90 days. Acceptance Place offers individual and group therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, medication support services, and crisis intervention.The On-Call SUD Counselor is an AOD Certified individual and is an integral part of this interdisciplinary team that supports our clients through assessment of their needs and strengths in support of their health and recovery.Role and ResponsibilitiesThe SUD Counselor III will perform counseling in individual and group settings, deliver curricula in accordance with program-specific requirements and case management, and assist clients in navigating systems of care while providing a supportive treatment environment. This position assists with onboarding new staff, mentoring interns/ambassadors.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate group counseling sessions, community meetings, and teach classes on various treatment-related topics to assist clients in meeting their treatment goals.Perform crisis intervention and communicate with the treatment team as unforeseen situations arise.Properly document all group counseling sessions and all individual sessions as needed within 24-72 hours per contract requirements.Must meet residential service delivery goal of 60%.Proactively link clients to both internal and external resources based on their treatment needs.Follow up on the progress or status of clients’ treatment.Document client updates and incidents daily.Maintain safety and security of the clients in the facility by performing periodic house runs.Ensure client medications are securely stored and properly accounted for as needed.Monitor and document client administration of medication.Assign client duties and sign off upon completion.As needed, accompany clients to offsite appointments related to their treatment.Collaborate with client and other internal and external resources to develop or maintain problem lists and/or treatment plans, transition plans, progress notes, and appropriate updates in support of their health and plete discharge paperwork/process and other required agency assessments in a timely manner.Support intake process such as preparing rooms and maintaining supplies.Perform property and room searches as needed.Respond to overdose and other medical emergencies.Perform tests for substance use such as urinalysis and breathalyzer.Observe clients every 30 minutes and document on observation log, per program requirements.Collect, clean, or dispose of biohazard waste.Disinfect and clean rooms and common areas as needed.Accurately enter data in various electronic systems for all clients in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements.Read and respond to emails, calls, and Teams messages in a timely plete assigned training as needed and as required by the due date.Attend and actively participate in meetings.Plan and facilitate celebrations and special events.Work on weekends and holidays as needed.We will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.LocationSan Francisco, CAEmployment type: Full-time (On Call position within Acceptance Place) #J-18808-Ljbffr
