OverviewOur client is a major Am Law 100 firm, seeking a Patent Agent or entry-level Technical Advisor, with a Ph.D. in the biological sciences for its Intellectual Property practice in Palo Alto, CA. The salary for this position is between $125k to $205k.ResponsibilitiesProsecution of life sciences patents, including conducting prior art database searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Analyze patents and scientific papers to assist patent attorneys on patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation.Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.Participate in post-grant procedures at the USPTO.QualificationsPh.D. in Cellular & Molecular Biology, Immunology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field.USPTO admission or eligibility to take the USPTO exam.Broad scientific knowledge in biotechnology required.Excellent academic credentials.Strong writing and verbal communication skills.All candidates must be authorized to work in the pensationThis position offers a salary between $125,000 and $205,000.About UsMarina Sirras & Associates LLC is a boutique legal recruiting firm committed to connecting exceptional legal talent with top-tier law firms and in-house legal departments nationwide.
