Senior Consultant

OverviewTRC is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our team. This position will be an essential part of our Consulting team contributing to high quality project delivery. Sample projects could include: grid modernization technology roadmaps, requirements gathering and documentation, information technology (IT) / operational technology (OT) benchmarking, acquisition and deployment strategies, smart grid technology deployment, and business use case creation and evaluation.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Consultant will partner with our clients as a trusted advisor. Specifically, they will bring industry domain experience to the client, provide a technology-agnostic point of view, and help execute on a variety of projects which include:Business case developmentStrategic roadmap creationProgram managementTechnology assessment and procurementUse case creation and requirements gatheringQualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited school or university is required.9+ years of experience in a team-based professional environmentDemonstrated credentials in utility consulting in two or more of the following areas: Distributed Energy Resources; Grid Modernization Programs; Utility technologies (Distributed Energy Resource Management System, Demand Response Management System, Geographic Information Systems, Outage Management System, Advanced Distribution Management System, Work Management, Automated Metering Infrastructure, or Energy Management Systems); Utility business financials; Smart Grid programsStrong client facing skillsStrong capabilities with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)Ability to serve across multiple projectsExcellent written, verbal communication skillsUtility grid operations knowledge, breadth and depthCollaborative nature and willing to share knowledge across broader team while contributing to reusable collateralMentor and develop other resources on the teamClear and timely communication internally and externallyAbility to interact with the client team including project sponsors and other stakeholdersLooks for ways to improve the delivery process, reduce issues / rework and improve customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycleAbility to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysisPreferred Qualifications :MBA from an accredited school or universityTravelup to 75% travel throughout North AmericaBenefitsTRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of:Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance.401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match.Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year).All full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 8 Paid Holidays per year.TRC ensures that all employees, including those that work part-time, receive paid sick, family, and disability leave in accordance with the laws of their state of residence.These benefits are applicable to US employees depending on their employment status (full time, part time, or temporary).
