Military Maintenance Specialist II

Overview The State of Vermont Military Department is seeking a skilled Military Maintenance Specialist to join our team in South Burlington. This civilian military department position will have key responsinilities in these areas: Structural Systems: * Perform maintenance and repairs on structural systems, including roofs, walls, floors, and foundations. * Conduct inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs * Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules General maintenance: * Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing door handles and locks * Conduct repairs and replacements of structural components, such as doors and windows Administrative: * Manage maintenance schedules and records * Order and inventory parts and materials for work orders * Prepare reports and maintenance documentation Additional Responsibilities: * Compliance with safety regulations and Air Force Standards * Assisting other shops as needed * Emergency call-ins after hours and weekends This position also requires you to have a background check for base access and government computer access, as well as the ability to obtain and maintain security clearances.
