Front of House Manager Job Description and Key Responsibilities Job Description: This position will serve as the Manager on Duty and assure that all parts of the café are running at the highest level and achieving revenue goals. Key Responsibilities: Work every day to keep the café on plan financially and build revenue to hit or surpass daily, weekly and monthly goals. Mentor FOH employees to deliver the very best guest experiences and highest service standards at all times. Solve customer service issues. Manage all employees on the floor to assure maximum productivity. Work in the Lunchbox to build revenue and manage the seating process – optimizing Resy to maximize covers. Work on the line to expo and assure all plates are being delivered looking their very best. Interact with guests in the dining room to assure they are happy and provide feedback for café team for recognition and improvement. Master all roles in the café to provide coverage, if needed. Actively participate in weekly meetings with store owner and Marketing team. Drive sales of Lunchbox items by – creating a sampling program, consulting on specials and steering seasonal changes. Maintain systems for ordering all FOH supplies assuring we are always in stock in key items while managing costs. Accurately prepare for and complete all inspections and documentation for Health and Safety regulations. Increasing Wine and Fancy Food sales by – implementing wine tastings, maintaining up-to-date FF displays and developing a FF sampling program. Manage and create special events and catering efforts with Marketing team and kitchen staff to generate revenue. Consistently monitor and implement Fine Dining Standards by – shadowing and coaching servers in real time, developing standards for the Lunchbox and creating training programs and tools for success. Track sales performance of seasonal specials and new items to make proper evaluation regarding success. Various administrative duties to include, but not limited to, updating menus, maintaining accurate and updated POS signage, creation of host best practices program, reporting and tracking of growth. At Plaza del Lago location, work with Associate Manager, Marketing and Events to maximize usage and profitability of The Lago Room by delivering exceptional events with impeccable service.
