Wedding Cake Decorator / Icing SpecialistThe Baking Institute Bakery Co. – Wheeling, IL We are seeking a talented Cake Decorator / Icing Specialist to join our growing wholesale bakery team. This position is focused on wedding cake and specialty cake finishing, with opportunities to contribute to high-volume pastry production for hotels, caterers, and private clients. Responsibilities:Ice, stack, and finish wedding cakes, specialty cakes, and dessert cakes with precision and creativity. Apply buttercream, fondant, and other icings smoothly and consistently. Execute decorative piping, borders, and elegant finishing touches. Ensure cakes are decorated according to customer specifications, designs, and quality standards. Collaborate with the pastry team to maintain consistent production schedules. Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment. Qualifications:Prior professional experience in cake decorating (wedding cake experience strongly preferred). Strong skills in buttercream and fondant icing. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume bakery environment while maintaining attention to detail. Creativity, steady hands, and an eye for design. Team-oriented, dependable, and able to follow instructions and production schedules.
