Job description: Georgie, a distinguished  Michelin-recognized  restaurant in Dallas, is seeking an experienced and dynamic  Assistant General Manager  to join our leadership team. We are a contemporary French restaurant known for our exceptional service, sophisticated ambiance, and a menu that blends classic technique with playful innovation. This role is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to play a critical role in maintaining and elevating our standard of excellence. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring that every guest receives a world-class dining experience. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of fine dining service. Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence: Direct and oversee daily front-of-house operations, including managing reservations, seating, and service flow to ensure seamless and efficient service. Uphold and enforce the highest standards of quality for food, beverages, and guest service. Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and controlling costs. Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a professional and skilled front-of-house team. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide continuous feedback to staff. Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment. Create and manage staff schedules to optimize labor and meet business needs. Guest Relations: Greet and interact with guests, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns with professionalism and grace. Act as a brand ambassador for Georgie, embodying our commitment to exceptional hospitality. Handle and resolve guest feedback in a manner that upholds the restaurant's reputation. Financial & Administrative: Assist the General Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards. Oversee cash handling procedures and manage the point-of-sale (POS) system. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a high-volume, fine-dining, or luxury restaurant setting. Previous experience in a Michelin-recognized or similarly highly-acclaimed establishment is strongly preferred. Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine, and spirits. Proficiency with restaurant management and POS systems. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
