Job Overview We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and a commitment to excellence in the kitchen. As a Sous Chef, you will play a critical role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to create memorable dining experiences while leading and mentoring kitchen staff. Duties Assist in the management of daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Participate in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Handle food production tasks efficiently while adhering to quality standards. Provide leadership during service hours, ensuring timely delivery of dishes. Requirements Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in French cuisine preferred. Demonstrated ability in team management and leadership within a kitchen environment. Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and best practices in food service management. Experience with inventory control and menu planning is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred but not mandatory.
