Job Description

Role Overview:   As the ToGo Department Manager , you will be overseeing our in-store kitchen operations. Our ToGo M anagers are responsi ble for the daily operations of the department in addition but not limited to   inventory control, quality control, product presentation, managing and, supporting the t eam. Our guest is the heart of our business .   All ToGo Department Managers must have kitchen supervisory experience , food knowledge, positive energy, be dependable, possess basic math skills and excellent communication skills .     Responsibilities & Duties:   Enforce the highest standards of quality and service. Ensure food is replenished in a timely manner .   Manage schedu les , team members PTO time, maintain timecards and manage labor.   Assist with multiple-shift operations for ( hot bar, sala d bar , soup bar, and coffee station).   Prepare a variety of food product s ( breakfast/lunch, prepared foods, and salad bar items ) .   Oversee kitchen staff, assign task s , and set tone and pace of the kitchen.   Monitor department profitability , appearance, and supervise team members.   Review and analyze department sales, waste, and labor reports.   Supervise team members , ensuring service standards are always being met .   Process and submit orders ; keeping track of department inventory .   Monitor qualit y, freshness and safeguard proper product rotation .   Adhere to all D OH , D O A and OSHA standards .   Ensure department is cleaned and maintained throughout all shifts.   Maintain accurate department signage and pricing .   Keep records of temperature s , production, spoilage, and department transfer s by way of department log .   Direct and support team members on department opening and closing procedures .   Assist Department Manager with hiring, training and the development of all team member s.   Cultivate, develop and retain team members by way of motivation, and providing feedback.   Adhere to all assigned duties by management team.     Minimum Requirements:   Minimum of 3 years’ kitchen supervisor experience.   Flexibility schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.   Ability to perform physical requirements of job including standing during scheduled hours, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, lifting , push and pull items of usually 5 0 -60 pounds.    Food safety and sanitation knowledge .   Ability to show initiative , work with limited supervision , and are self-motivated .   Ability to hire, train , inspire and develop a team.   Team builder and brand ambassador.   Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills .   Analytical thinking and proficiency in math needed to perform job responsibilities .   Proficient computer knowledge and skills; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel   IN RETURN, WE OFFER!   Competitive Wages, Medical/Dental/Vision / Company sponsored life insurance benefits, Flexible Spending Accounts, Employee Discounts, Paid Time Off, 401k Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match!   Citarella is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)   More detail about Citarella - West Village part of Citarella, please visit
