Job Title: Lead Cook Location: Wildflour – South San Francisco Compensation: $21-23/hour + shared tips Schedule:  32-40 hrs/week, Wednesday-Sunday scheduleHiring ASAP! About Us Wildflour is a neighborhood bakery and restaurant in South San Francisco, known for fresh, seasonal food and a welcoming atmosphere. We’re growing our team and looking for someone who is passionate about food, creative in the kitchen, and eager to take on a leadership role. Position Overview We’re hiring a Lead Cook to play a key role in both the daily operations and long-term growth of our kitchen. This is a hands-on position where you’ll not only oversee food preparation and kitchen organization but also have the opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape the menu. This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership, grow their skills, and be part of a collaborative, community-focused restaurant. Responsibilities Execute and oversee daily food preparation with consistency and attention to detail Collaborate on recipe development and contribute to menu planning Monitor food and labor costs to support profitability Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment Manage inventory and place/receive orders as needed Train and support kitchen team members Assist with opening or closing the kitchen on assigned days Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are always upheld Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience as a lead line cook or similar role Strong skills in food prep, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations Understanding of cost control and inventory management Creative and collaborative approach to recipes and menu development Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment Reliable, organized, and committed to consistent quality Perks & Compensation $21-$23 per hour plus shared tips 32-40 hours/week (Wednesday–Sunday schedule) Free onsite parking Opportunity to contribute to the menu and influence the kitchen’s direction Supportive, team-oriented work culture More detail about Wildflour, please visit
