Job Summary We are the first stand-alone rice crispies shop and production kitchen in Orange County.  We make gourmet rice cripsies treats for wholesale, retail, events, and theme parks.  Our operations are expanding, and we are looking to hire a production kitchen manager to partner with the owners.  This position is very hands on and will require the individual to organize, manage, and lead the production team as well as step in to support the team in completing the daily production schedule. We are looking for someone that has the experience to coach and lead team members, hire new employees, understands inventory management and production scheduling as well as experience with food safety and sanitation protocols.  We are NOT looking for someone just to manage and be in the background, this individual needs to be ready to jump in and help the team where needed on the floor to ensure production output is met. Key Responsibilities Staff Management Manage staff to ensure production timelines are met, quality standards are followed and schedule according to production needs. Food Safety and Quality Follow strict food safety, sanitation and quality practices ensuring the team meets these standards.  Conduct training as necessary making sure staff is always up to date. Inventory and Ordering Maintain sufficient inventory levels and conduct audits where needed.  Put together purchasing requirements and keep within budget. Operations Efficiency Ensure all team members meet output metrics and quality measures.  Step in when and where needed to make sure the production is complete on time to meet order requirements. Other Duties Ensure that kitchen is kept clean and safe. Prepare and publish weekly production schedule and hours for all team members. Publish daily production schedule for team and conduct daily meetings to make sure production staff is aligned. Complete deliveries to key customers as necessary. Qualifications Serve Safe or equivalent Manager certificate. 3-5 years’ experience in managing a high output production kitchen/bakery. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and a smooth operation. Experience with inventory management and client communication is a plus.
