The department focuses on digital transformation of corporate services to ensure WBG operations are seamless, resilient, and future-ready.The Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU) mission is to leverage information and technology to accelerate development impact. ITS aims to harness information and technology for a world free of poverty on a livable planet. The Corporate Solutions Department (ITSCO) focuses on digital transformation across about 170 products and services to connect business ambition with operational excellence.The Corporate Experience Solutions unit designs, delivers, and evolves digital interactions that connect our people and partners to the organization, including intranets, external websites, and tools supporting employee engagement, recruitment, onboarding, learning, and other day-to-day experiences for the WBG’s global workforce and external users.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Manager, Corporate Experience Solutions combines strategic vision, product leadership, and agile delivery to lead the World Bank Group’s global portfolio of high-impact digital engagement platforms, delivering intuitive, accessible, and mission-critical experiences for the WBG’s workforce and millions of users worldwide.The Manager will work closely with the Director and other Managers in the WBG Corporate Solutions department to align business transformation priorities, product and systems development, and technology capabilities to maximize impact, efficiency, and value. The primary roles and responsibilities include:Leadership, Strategic PlanningDrive and deliver the strategic direction for the unit’s product and technology investments with well-defined roadmaps and solution architectures, following product management and agile delivery best practices (e.g., design thinking, SAFe).Partner with business leaders to generate thought leadership, strengthen engagement, and co-create investment priorities and roadmaps aligned with technology governance frameworks.Delivery, Efficiency, & Continuous ImprovementAccountable for delivery and continuous improvement of mission-critical platforms (intranet, external web, HR self-service, travel, onboarding, learning, desk booking, etc.), ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery and measuring adoption and value.Promote product quality and technical excellence by implementing modern software delivery practices, updating technology solutions, and driving down costs while improving value metrics.Oversee solution architecture and integration to ensure interoperability across corporate platforms, reducing duplication and enabling streamlined processes. Key platforms include Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, Adobe Experience Platform, Microsoft SharePoint Online, and other SaaS solutions.Manage portfolio delivery within budget and timelines, communicating milestones and value, and addressing risks and blockers to meet organizational goals.Accelerate innovation through automation and AI, and promote user-centered methods such as Human-Centered Design, Design Thinking, Agile, and Sprints to accelerate time-to-value.People Management & Culture LeadershipLead a globally distributed team (Washington, Chennai, Sofia, Singapore, and others), setting clear objectives and supporting career development.Build organizational resilience by fostering innovation, transparency, and accountability, and by promoting SAFe delivery methodologies (SAFe). Foster a psychologically safe, trust-based environment and act as a core member of the ITS management team, fulfilling fiduciary responsibilities including cost optimization and budget management.Within the first year, deliverables include assessing the Corporate Experience Solutions team, delivering roadmaps for the ten largest products, delivering the capital program, and defining a target state and roadmap for the WBG Corporate applications, among other milestones.Selection CriteriaIn addition to a strong work ethic and integrity, the leader should establish credibility with managers and stakeholders, possessing leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Qualifications include:Master’s degree in computer science, business, or related field; post-graduate coursework or certification in large-scale digital product management, solution architecture, and application delivery; at least 10 years of global IT experience.10+ years in product management, solution architecture, and application delivery for enterprise-scale digital engagement platforms.Proven ability to define and execute roadmaps aligned to business priorities with agile and user-centered practices.Expertise in designing solution architectures and knowledge of Agile/DevOps, AI, and automation.Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, Adobe Experience Platform, Microsoft SharePoint Online, and other SaaS/cloud technologies.Experience applying design thinking and user research to inform product decisions and scale UX standards.Experience leading distributed teams and vendors with a global agile delivery model.Ability to partner with stakeholders, foster governance, and align business/IT strategy.Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills to influence outcomes.Strong business judgment to simplify concepts, prioritize investments, and deliver results under pressure.A deep passion for the World Bank Group’s mission.CertificationsRequired: Leading SAFe (SA/SAFe Agilist); SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)Preferred: Digital Transformation, Change Management, Azure Fundamentals, Certified Agile Practitioner (e.g., SAFe, Scrum Master), Lean Portfolio Management (SAFe LPM)EEO Statement: The World Bank Group values diversity and encourages all qualified candidates who are nationals of World Bank Group member countries to apply, regardless of gender, gender identity, religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.
