Tax Director

OverviewWe are looking for a Tax Director to work for our Cleveland client. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.ResponsibilitiesBuild and strengthen working relationships and scale with the growth of business teams to ensure integration with various business functions, bring tax awareness, and champion tax requirementsResearch and monitor issues and changes in US Federal, State, and Local income tax law and regulations, and prepare technical memoranda to support tax accounting positionsProvide strategic guidance on income, withholding, sales, use, and property taxesResponsible for continuous improvements through recommending and implementing efficient and effective processesStrategic partner with the business to minimize global income tax and withholding exposuresEnsure that the Company/'s tax accounting processes, documentation, and related systems are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley/'s internal control requirementsDrive relationships with stakeholders, including all top management, cross-functional teams, business units, and external partiesQualificationsBachelor/'s degree in Accounting or Finance8+ years of progressive tax experienceStrong experience working with and knowledge of State and Local tax jurisdictionsDemonstrated competency in executing strategic plansStrong knowledge of US GAAP tax accountingDynamic interpersonal and presentation skills to gain respect and trust from staff, customers, vendors, and key stakeholders #J-18808-Ljbffr
