OverviewJob Title: Full Stack Engineer Co-OpLocation: Onsite - Boston, MAEmployment Type: TemporaryCompensation: $33/hrStart Date: January 12, 2026The Flexcar Co-Op Program is a 5 month paid temporary employment program.Flexcar is looking for a Full Stack Engineer Co-op to help develop next generation applications across our entire technology stack for both internal and external facing requirements. You will be at the forefront of our growth and can be expected to highly contribute in the direction, development and release of our web and mobile applications using Ruby on Rails, React, and React Native. Currently operating in 4 markets with aggressive expansion plans for the coming year, this is a great opportunity to come in and help build a product from the ground up during a pivotal growth phase!Flexcar has a strong history of successful co-op partnerships. Our co-op program offers hands-on experience, where participants take ownership of end-to-end features that directly enhance the customer experience. They consistently contribute code to our production systems, drive project delivery, and seamlessly integrate into our engineering teams as valued team members. We prioritize individual growth through personalized mentorship, fostering leadership development, and expanding your software development expertise.What you’ll doDesign and build advanced applications using Ruby on Rails for backend services and APIs.Develop responsive web applications using React for our customer-facing and internal platforms.Create and maintain mobile applications in React Native for iOS and Android platforms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features across the full stack.Work on bug fixes and improve application performance across web and mobile platforms.Ship code to production multiple times a day using our robust CI/CD pipeline.Participate in thorough code reviews to develop best practices and learn from senior engineers.Help write design documents for architecting new features and systems.Engage with Boston/'s tech community through meetups we host, including the Boston Ruby and Boston React Native meetups.Experience modern development practices with continuous integration and deployment.What you’ll love about working at FlexcarCollaborating with a team of helpful, passionate and technically strong software engineers in a highly collaborative environment.Being part of a company that is big enough to achieve big things together, but small enough to make your mark.Entrepreneurial spirit and a dynamic work environment where being in person helps foster brainstorming and idea development.Regular team happy hours and social events that build strong relationships.Contributing to a fast-growing company during an exciting expansion year.Who are we?Flexcar is completely reimagining car ownership.
