OverviewJoin to apply for the General Manager role at ALIGN PRECISION.The plant General Manager Position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities in the most cost effective manner. The goal will be “Continuous Improvement” of our manufacturing processes while striving to make sure every customer knows our goal is “Quality Parts-On Time”.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure Business Unit goals are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.Ensure standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production.Ensure fixed assets are preserved. Initiates recommendations on purchases of new equipment and improvements to plant property.Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Alerts management of cost and labor over run. Makes recommendations and implements solutions to problems related to same.Ensure orders are manufactured according to specifications and quality standards are met.Advises plant managers on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training/development, grievances, etc.Ensure plant managers and supervises are adhering to company policy and administering practices in a fair and equitable manner.Implement cost effective systems of control over operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards. Compile and analyze daily/monthly reports. Reporting on the performance of the production system for the Management Review process.Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses and/or equipment when necessary. Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.Takes a hands on approach with the ability to recognize potential production/quality problems on the plant floor before they occur.Qualifications and EducationBachelor's degree preferredMust have minimum of 10 to 15 years hands-on manufacturing experience.Qualifications and Other Skills RequiredDecision MakingProblem Solving/AnalysisFinancial ManagementBusiness AcumenChange agent and ability to work with a diverse group of peopleMicrosoft Suite and Excel package knowledge and abilities.Strong managerial leadership and communication proficiency with the ability to motivate and lead others.Preferred experience with ERP systems.Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
