Structural risks managed by the Treasury/Chief Investment Office include structural interest rate and foreign exchange risk. Products utilized include long-term debt, fixed income securities, interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps and credit related products.As a Controller – Associate within the Treasury/Chief Investment Office, you will partner with front office, regional finance teams and accounting policy team to provide technical accounting support on large and/or unusual transactions in the Treasury/Chief Investment Office.Job responsibilities:Partner with constituents to provide technical accounting support on large and/or unusual transactions in TCIO globallyReport to the direct manager located in London, coordinate the discussions with different functions in North America and functions across regionsPartner with finance product controllers to understand the operational implication of existing and new transactions, ensure the teams are able to implement as per required by policy teamCoordinate implementation of accounting standardsReview external financial statements and disclosuresPrepare and conduct internal education sessions on new and proposed accounting and reporting standardsReview and maintain corporate accounting policiesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related area3 years of experience in public accounting with financial services requiredKnowledge and experience in financial instrumentsProactive individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)Team player with excellent leadership skillsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:CPABig Four experience in audit preferredExperience with derivatives or hedge accountingAbout UsJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
