OverviewUnder the direction of the Executive Director of Campus Financial Aid Operations and Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, the Director of Financial Aid will lead the financial aid and veterans affairs operation at the Columbus Ivy Tech Community College Campus. This position is based onsite at the Columbus campus, with the option for one remote workday per week.Major ResponsibilitiesDirects and manages key financial aid and veterans affairs processes at the Columbus campusLead efforts on campus to assist students with filing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), resolving financial aid issues, completing verification, and getting into a paid status before the start of classesSupport veteran students with their educational benefitsAdminister and fully utilize the Federal Work-Study ProgramAdminister scholarships and institutional aid, and organize campus scholarship committeesReview emergency aid requests in conjunction with other campus officesOrganize and serve on the campus Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeals committeesConduct financial aid outreach to current Ivy Tech students and prospective Ivy Tech students in the local communityEstablish effective relationships with key campus personnel and work closely with campus enrollment services and student success staff membersCoordinate efforts with the Financial Aid and Veteran and Military Benefits processing hubsThis is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.Supervision and ReportingSUPERVISION RECEIVED: Primary supervision received by the Executive Director of Campus Financial Aid Operations.MATRIX MANAGEMENT: On-campus supervision received by the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs.SUPERVISION GIVEN: Two Assistant Directors of Financial Aid.SalarySALARY: The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 and is commensurate with education, skills, and relevant work experience.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree required.Three or more years’ experience administering financial aid programs.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, authentic relationships.Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and initiatives.PreferredSupervisory experience preferred.Master’s degree preferred.FAAC preferred.Job DetailsSeniority level: DirectorEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Education and TrainingIndustries: Higher EducationEqual OpportunityIvy Tech Community College is an accredited, equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
